Stone River Excavation was founded in 2015 by a 21-year-old with a machine, his mother at the wheel of the business side, and a clear standard for how the work should be done. Eleven years later, the company runs larger equipment, larger projects, and the same standard.
The founder's father runs field operations. The team has scaled with the work. Stone River is not a franchise, not a roll-up, and not managed from a corporate office. Every project gets the same attention it would if the founder's name were on the invoice because it is.
Stone River's home base is Houston. We serve Harris County and the surrounding metro as our primary market, and we work across the Gulf Coast corridor and Central Texas for commercial and industrial scopes that match our capacity.
We work on commercial and industrial projects exclusively. That includes pad site development, land clearing, site preparation and grading, detention ponds, utility trenching, and mass excavation. We do not take on residential work.
