College Station Sits in Stone River's Core Corridor

College Station and Bryan sit roughly midway between Houston and the central Texas markets Stone River serves regularly. The Brazos Valley is within practical mobilization range of our Houston base, which means College Station-area projects carry shorter mobilization timelines and lower logistics costs than true reach markets further north or west.

Commercial development tied to Texas A&M University growth, the regional medical and research corridor, and continued residential expansion in Brazos County is generating consistent demand for civil earthwork at a scale that benefits from a contractor with owned equipment and a proven commercial track record.

What Brazos Valley Earthwork Requires

The Brazos Valley sits on the western edge of the Gulf Coastal Plain, where the soils transition from the heavy clays of the Houston market toward the sandier loams of Central Texas. The Brazos River bottomlands in the area carry high-plasticity clay conditions similar to what Stone River works with daily in Houston. Away from the bottomlands, soils become more variable and site-specific geotechnical review becomes the critical step before bidding.

Stone River reviews the geotechnical report on every Brazos Valley project before submitting a number and coordinates with the civil engineer on any site-specific conditions that affect scope or sequencing.
